You Know It's Coming

You know it’s coming, is an exhibit based on a dream: A car size wagon wheel careens down hill toward an unawares chap whose disheveled over sized figure looks like a bowling pin. The character preoccupied with inner thoughts is oblivious to the hurtling projectile. The figure evolves into a free standing sculpture and the wagon wheel a charging ram. The circle then becomes a motif in the form of a bowling ball, a ferris wheel (also a dream), a bell, and eclipses that meet on a horizon to enrich composition. The seascape study is of a painting by WC Stanfield, ON THE DOGER BANK 1846, which represents ubiquitous calamity humans deal with daily.
