The Abstract Still Life series is literal, but recognizable. The 4ft x 2ft panels are painted with acrylic, and collage material. The original sketches are quick, wistful thumbnails of imaginary vases and flora penned during a winter stay at The Franconia Inn. The painted panels themselves have become diagrams to replicate in a sculptural fashion at the ceramic’s studio of Dan Ryan, and are underway for 2025.
