One Moment On Going
The four figurative sculptures in this exhibit are designed using a Picasso charcoal drawing: Naked Woman Standing 1910, as a blueprint for structure. One of the four figures is wood, the others are glass, foam, cardboard. The wood sculpture needs to be water saturated to curve the straight leg panels out at the bottom. When dry the crescent aches hold their bent shape for the construction to stand. The only container I have big enough to contain and soak the five-foot wood sculpture is the ocean outside my studio {Video below}.
The five foot square paintings are composed and completed in one spontaneous attempt.
